Gavin Gibson
Gavin Gibson | Gaspari Athlete
Gavin is a lifetime drug free bodybuilder based in Bedfordshire and trains out of his own gym 'Iron Bodies Gym' which was established in 2010. Every bodybuilders dream is to have the perfect home gym, and he has that! Gavin has always been into sport and considered himself an athlete at a young age. From being a national swimming competitor in his early years and again in his late teens, rugby, semi pro football, mma and finally to natural bodybuilding. The gym was the back bone to his success in all sports, from squats and press up’s as a 9 year old to help with swimming to training legs like a bodybuilder to help with football. He certainly wasn't pushed off the ball easily!
Gavin first competed in 2008 after some guys in the gym suggested he do so and has never really looked back. He won a novice British title that year in his first show. Making his debut in natural bodybuilding after having a year off for rotator cuff surgery at the 2010 NPA South East he once again took first place and then it’s just followed on from there, winning British, UK, World and most recently the Pro European title.
To Gavin being a Pro Natural Bodybuilder is more than just competing and training. It’s about being an ambassador for his sport, motivating people, making new friends and seeing different cultures whilst competing abroad. It has opened up opportunities for Gavin to do things perhaps he would not have done otherwise. It has given him the drive and perspective in life and he genuinely believes that bodybuilding has contributed to his success in all areas of his life. After having last year off to get married and give his clients 100% he hopes to be back into competition this year or early in 2017.
Gavin also coaches and preps many other athletes and feels he is blessed to have such great athletes as part of his Team Pro Prep. He has always been a Gaspari fan and feels very fortuitous to have had them in my corner over the last year and is looking forward to the future with the team!
